Ian was a mechanic and had been offered a job in Sydney in which his employer offered to sponsor him and his family on a 457 visa. Ian and Sinead engaged an unregistered migration agent operating in Ireland to assist them with visa application to live and work in Australia. Sadly, after 6 months and in excess of $6,000, they discovered that the agent had not submitted an application for them and the agent told them that they were not eligible for a 457 visa.
Extremely disappointed, Ian had already accepted the job in Australia and was not sure how he and his young family could realise their dream of living and working in Australia. Ian then spoke to his Irish migration agent again about his options. Ian was told that he could apply for a working holiday visa and work in Australia for 6 months for his employer, but he could not take his wife Sinead and their 3 year old daughter. Ian was told that once he was in Australia he may be able to apply for a 457 visa in which his wife and daughter could join him.
Ian and Sinead made the agonising decision to have Ian leave Ireland on his own and work in Australia with the hope that once in Australia, he could arrange a visa for Sinead and their daughter to join him in Australia.
After 2 months of living in Australia, Ian was missing his wife and daughter terribly, he contacted us at Migration Agency Australia to see if there were any options available to him and his young family. We began work instantly on a 457 visa application and within 2 months his application was approved. Sinead and their daughter joined Ian in Australia as soon as they could.
Ian, Sinead and their daughter are all now living in and enjoying their new life in Australia. Ian is loving his new job and they hope to apply for a permanent visa once they become eligible.
