Close call for permanent resident after years living in Indonesia

Ketut moved to Australia from Indonesia in early 1977 and gained permanent residency later that year. Soon after arriving in Australia, Ketut married the love of his life, Frances, and together they built a life in Australia. After a few years, Ketut and Frances became proud parents of 2 happy and healthy boys.

Over the next 25 years, they began and grew several successful business in Australia. Together they enjoyed living, working and raising a family; calling Australia home.

After a series of deaths in Ketut’s family in Indonesia, Ketut and Frances decided that they needed to temporarily move to Indonesia to sort out estate issues resulting from the close family deaths. Unfortunately, this took a lot longer that Ketut and Frances had ever imagined.

Recently, Ketut and Frances decided that it was time to return to Australia to reestablish their lives in here, however, Ketut no longer had a valid reentry visa and was unable to just hop on a plane and return to his life in Australia. Ketut went to the Australian Embassy in Indonesia to see if he could sort out a reentry visa for himself, however he found that he was going around in circles. It was at that point that Ketut contacted us at Migration Agency Australia to see if we could assist him.

As Ketut has been out of Australia for some time securing a reentry visa was going to be difficult. We prepared a comprehensive submission and visa application on Ketut’s behalf detailing his close personal ties to Australia. After more than a month, the Department of Immigration and Border Protection finally granted Ketut a reentry visa, agreeing that he had significant personal ties to Australia.

Ketut and Frances are now able to resume their life in Australia together. We at Migration Agency Australia are thrilled that we could help this family achieve their dream
